Ok everyone... I know this isn't really a "journal," but... I need to get this out!

I'm in school for Graphic Design right now, and was given an assignment to 'interview' a Graphic Designer/Freelance Designer... Rather than send a message to individual people, I thought maybe I could post a journal with some questions, in hopes that a designer would reply!!

Here are the questions:

1.) What is your: Name? Age? Location? Company (if any)? Website?

2.) How much experience do you have with design (school, training, professional, etc?)

3.) What do you do, or where do you go for inspiration?

4.) How do you come across work? Are you actively seeking work, or does it mostly come to you?

5.) What is your favorite medium to design for?

6.) Out of all the awesome work you've done, which is your favorite and why?

7.) What is the most difficult thing about the design industry you've come to experience thus far in your career?

8.) Who do you admire?

9.) Have any advice for the new wave of upcoming designers (like me)?

Holy... it's been quite some time since I've checked in here...

I've missed out on A LOT!!! A lot of amazing new work, great contests, some good information... A LOT!!

Anywho... I'm going to try and be a better "local" here, and not be so much of a stranger!!

I've got a lot of things coming up, and some great new ideas for some designs that I'll be posting soon! I've been a busy boy!!!

Also, I'm proud to announce that I finally got myself enrolled at a college here for Graphic Design! WOOT WOOT!! Finally... a formal education to learn the ins and outs of design!

Keep your eyes peeled for some new work, and some cool stuff from me!

Hey all!!

So, I've been working on this new website design, but I'm getting stuck on the background. It's pissing me off!! Here's why...

So, I found this website [link] and want to create/use a background like the one on the site. So, I went on a mission to find some brushes and what not to make one myself, but it's not turning out how I want it to and it's not 100% seamless.

I need some help!!! Does anyone know a good source for these "deco" (or whatever the hell you call them... kick ass maybe?) style backgrounds, or have any I could use???

Hope everyone is doing great... I've been checking up on a lot of your guys' work and have been WAY impressed! Keep up the great work!!!!

So, this morning... I logged in to DA, and was going to check the stats (views, comments, etc.) on my latest site layout and my damn company has blocked it due to "NUDITY"....

Umm... pretty sure that since I made it, there's no nudity. Well, unless you have a really good eye and can see the subliminal images tied into it... LOL!! Uh, NO!

How lame is that? I can't browse anywhere on this site with out it saying something contains nudity, profanity, or that it's tasteless/gross... All I can do is login to my page, check my messages, check out other people home pages (only), and their journals...

WTF!?!?!??!!?!?

Well kids... this one is basically so I can see fun journals... I'm trying to get it to a point that I like it, so I'm posting this one then will update it every so often to see how it looks...

Other than that, just keeping busy, trying to get involved with some contests and whatnot... I'll post some new stuff soon!
